We've had an exciting month. We've locked hardware design, vetted manufacturing partners, made big strides on our software layer. Let's get into the goods!
製造のアップデート
前回から、リリース候補ユニット用の全コンポーネントを初期ベンダーから受け取りました。すぐに使えるものもあれば、少し調整が必要なものもありました。
現在、ベンダーの精査がほぼ完了し、すべてのコンポーネントについて生産規模の発注に対応できる実績のあるベンダー一式が揃いました。全体的な製造原価も目標通りです。
Manufacturing updates
Since last time, we've received all of the components from our initial vendors for our release candidate units. Some of those were great out of the box, some have needed a little iteration.
We're now close to completing vendor vetting, giving us a full set of proven vendors that can handle production-volume orders for all of our components. Our overall cost of goods remains on target.

We've got a slightly-rough release candidate unit for Bartleby and Candide in hand based on those imperfect pieces, and will have polished RC units in the coming days.

We're on the road
Jackson is in Tokyo through the middle of March, meeting with our network, demoing our RC units, and working with local partners and musicians to make videos for our upcoming marketing push.
If you're around Tokyo, we'd love to see you. Jackson's next stop will be Bangkok, before heading to other cities around the region. Jordan will be holding down the fort in Tokyo. If you'd like to meet up, drop us a line by email or on Instagram.

AP Console
これまでのニュースレターで、BartlebyとCandide用のウェブインターフェースについて触れてきました。今回は、AP Consoleと呼ばれるこのウェブUIが何をできるのか、もっと深く掘り下げます。ファームウェアアップデートだけじゃないんです！
AP Consoleは、ミュージシャンがAttach Partの楽器をカスタマイズするための包括的なインターフェースを提供します。
ノードベースのパッチエディターにより、ミュージシャンは範囲を設定し、モジュレーションの深さを割り当て、結果をすぐに聞くことができます。変更はCandideのようなカートリッジにシームレスに同期されます。
AP Consoleでは、Bartlebyのようなベースステーションのパフォーマンスを再構築できます。ユーザーはベロシティ、圧力、ピッチベンドの応答カーブを編集してプレイスタイルに合わせたり、Bartlebyのダイヤルに任意のパラメーターを割り当てたりできます。

Product development highlights
Hardware
As our sample components come in from vendors, we've been refining the hardware, mostly in subtle under-the-hood ways. We're reinforcing here, slimming down there, and generally dialing the feel of the device to be just right.
- Bartleby's exterior is smoother and sleeker than the prototype, with refined accents that keep its personality.
- Candide's scroll wheel interface is working well, letting the user easily access a wide range of predefined and custom-built patches.
With these final revisions, our launch hardware for Bartleby and Candide is locked.
AP Console
In previous editions of this newsletter, we've mentioned the web interface for Bartleby and Candide. Today, we'll dig deeper into what this web UI – called AP Console – can do. There's a lot more than just firmware updates!
AP Console provides a comprehensive interface for musicians to customize their Attach Part instruments.
A node-based patch editor lets musicians set ranges, assign modulation depths, and hear the result immediately, with changes seamlessly synced to cartridges like Candide.
AP Console lets the musician reshape the performance of base stations like Bartleby. Users can edit curves for velocity, pressure, and pitch bend response to match playstyle, and assign parameters to any of Bartleby's dials.
We see AP Console as integral to our goal to make rich musical expression accessible to anyone. We're showing off its depth here, but we'll be building out the gentle learning curve of tutorials and explanations so that new players can get comfortable with their new instrument quickly and easily.
AP Console is built to be the foundation for experiences far beyond Bartleby and Candide – future devices will slot right into AP Console, and the Console creates a path for musicians to get a taste of new devices before they buy.
